Supplements for Iron Deficiency Anemia

IRON SUPPLEMENTS
Iron supplements can help treat as well as prevent iron deficiency anemia. This is particularly beneficial in women as they are prone to lack of iron which can cause fatigue, malaise, hair loss etc.
Because iron supplements invariably lead to constipation ( and black stools) I recommend that a fibre supplement be taken alongside to prevent this.
Vitamin C improves absorption of Iron and taking this alongside will also improve the effectiveness of this treatment.
Additionally , because many micronutrient deficiencies can go undetected, taking a daily multivitamin supplement +- protein powder can help prevent this.

FIBRE SUPPLEMENT OPTIONS
